The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all technical accounting matters related to the private funds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Prepare and present to management and auditors an assessment of current guidance and its applicability to the Company.
  • Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls.
  • Coordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure US GAAP and IFRS compliance.  
  • Prepares financial statements disclosures around emerging US GAAP or IFRS guidance.
  • Researches and interprets technical accounting issues for management.
  • May provide accounting assistance during special projects such as mergers acquisitions or divestitures.
  • NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Work remotely, nights and weekends as needed and with short notice (for time sensitive requests).
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Involved with hiring process, training and onboarding new hires to make sure they understand their roles.
  • Ensure completion on tasks team members are responsible for while assisting when needed.
  • Set goals for team members and making sure they comply with the company’s plans and vision.
  • Assess the work performance of employees and identify areas that need improvement.
  • Recommend new employees to human resources team based on assessment of their performance. 
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred and Big 4 Accounting or similar experience
  • 6+ years of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting experience, including experience in public accounting practice
  • Strong technical U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting knowledge
  • Experience with SOX 404 compliance
  • Knowledge of best practices in internal controls
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Operate standard office equipment.
