The Environmental Scientist performs lead office functions necessary to operate the water bank. These include tracking of water, money, energy, and other operational activities. This is a full time position that will enable the water bank office to function smoothly as the bank facilities are built out over the next few years.
Job Duties:Track water deposited into and withdrawn from the water bank, including calculation of evaporative losses. Maintain Excel spreadsheet records of customer accounts and provide customers with regular account statements. Monitor and pursue sources of outside funding for the water bank, including state and federal grants and loans. Prepare grant and loan applications. Monitor and evaluate energy use by the water bank, including optimal selection of SCE electricity rates schedules.Manage the project budget in both Excel and Yardi formats, including annual updates and regular tracking of budgeted versus actual revenues and expenses.Develop the content of the website for the water bank, including periodic updates of the information on the site. Assistance with Information Technology needs such as troubleshooting software and hardware problems with the CIM IT staff. Maintenance of schedules and task assignments for the Lancaster office.Other duties as assigned
Minimum RequirementsBS in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Engineering and 2 years of related work experience, or MS in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Engineering
