Responsibilities include maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the assigned building(s) during working hours and in compliance with company standards.
CIM’s Property Management department is responsible for the asset management and operational services in office, multi-family residential, retail, mixed-use and hotel product types. Our properties are predominately located in the urban regions in Southern California, Northern California, Texas, New York City, Washington D.C., Charlotte, and Chicago.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Routinely inspect and clean all common areas of the building. Common areas include but not limited to stairwells, hallways, elevators, common area restrooms, exterior of building, parking garage, building lobbies and exterior sidewalks. Report any issues, problems and deficiencies to the property management team. Must be able to perform miscellaneous tasks as needed such as changing light bulbs, moving furniture or objects, clean windows, stairs, restrooms, corridors and all other common areas of the building. Day porter is on call during daily working hours to clean up reported spills and trash as needed. Clean all common area restrooms and stock with paper products periodically throughout the day. Keep accurate records of inventory and provide checklists for property management to order to janitorial products. Communicate in English clearly with property management team and tenants. Operate and use vacuums, blower, mop, broom, squeegee, walkie talkie and pager. Day porter must be able to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 1 to 10 pounds of force constantly to move items.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)Two to three years prior day porter experience.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provide follow-up on actions in response to tenant and management requests.
COMMUNICATION SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to communicate at a functional level with the property management team and tenants. Ability to read English at a functional level.
REASONING SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Apply sound judgment in carrying out or issuing instructions.
PERFORMANCE METRICS:Ensure all tenant work orders related to cleaning are performed correctly and in a timely manner.
