A successful Fund Operations Associate will be responsible for helping oversee the certain transactions including redemptions, transfers and other complex transactions for shareholders. He/she will also be responsible for helping manage research, document preparation, quality review, reconciliation and communicating with executives, upper management and vendor management. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in operations and/or servicing clients with large volumes in both retail and institutional channels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Oversee complex transactions with the Transfer Agent(s) with strong attention to detail
  • Support the Operations Team in their daily processes including reconciliation
  • Communicate with Sales, Shareholder Relations, Accounting and other internal business partners daily
  • Complete research, document preparation, and reports
  • Manage statement and regulatory mailings
  • Support the sales structure and delivery of products for all customers to ensure world- class customer service
  • Identify areas of opportunity to streamline processes, enhance the customer experience, reduce risk and/or save time and money
  • Perform a variety of tasks; a wide degree of autonomy and changing priorities
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience within an Operations and/or client support role for retail and institutional channels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • High energy, self-motivated and confident
  • Solid understanding of the REIT industry, financial services industry, transfer agents, custodians, brokerage account types and practices as well as a solid securities brokerage background
  • Experience working with high‐end service organizations
  • Customer-focused and service driven with impeccable communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize, be detail‐oriented and meet deadlines
