The Global Partners Group (GPG) is seeking an Associate to manage, administer and organize activities across the group. This position is located in CIM’s Los Angeles office and will report to the Head of GPG. The Associate will own and facilitate day‐to‐day tasks and ensure clear and effective coordination and communication across the group and with internal client groups. This position is best suited for those candidates who thrive in a culture that emphasizes cross‐ functional collaboration and accountability for delivering results. This person will work closely with Portfolio Oversight, Investor Relations, Marketing/Compliance, and the Investment teams as well as with various third‐part vendors.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with the team to achieve the department’s functional and operational business objectives and goals. 
  • Fosters clear and effective communication within the group and across CIM.
  • Defines the scope of project assigned in collaboration with the Partner Relations Manager and management. 
  • Ensures that the project deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality. 
  • Develops and maintains daily status reports to track all jobs as well as identify risks and issues. 
  • Research and analyze potential investors, competitors and other market analysis. 
  • Maintains team schedule and helps coordinate investor meetings. 
  • Attends in‐person/phone meetings to assist with note taking, activity logging, and manages deliverables for follow up. 
  • Assists with travel and accommodation arrangements, manages expenses. 
  • Formats information for internal and external communication – Salesforce reports, emails, presentations, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field required.
  • Series 7 and 63 Licenses required
  • Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.  
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints in written and verbal format to a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to investor groups, public groups community leaders, key executives and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to effectively interact with both internal and external parties on complicated topics and sensitive matters.

  • Timeliness in completion of work product.
  • Feedback from clients, peers, customers and other key contacts on effectiveness of the incumbent.
