CIM provides internships that begin in June and run into August. The summer program entails an introduction to CIM’s platform, lunch with leaders, networking opportunities, and team social events.

Internships vary over time but are available in virtually every business department, including:

- Sales and Client Service
- Operations
- Accounting
- Property Management      
Partner & Co-Investor Relations Internship (Fund Operations Associate)
  • Position Overview

  • Candidates will work within the fund operations team on projects geared towards solving real business challenges and will work across the CIM business with Management, Sales, Portfolio Oversite, Marketing, and IT. As part of this internship, candidates will have the opportunity to participate in internal training, ‘shadow’ internal team members, develop product knowledge, and assist leadership on department-specific projects.

    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend and participate in meetings with portfolio oversite and the sales team to develop business acumen – both industry and product related.
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to establish recurring tasks and track progress through Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with internal groups to help streamline workflows and buildout various policies and procedures 
  • Learn excellent project management skills to allow multiple projects to run concurrently and ensure timely completion
  • Provide support in organizing SharePoint platform to disseminate information internally between teams and offices
  • Assist on special department projects (internal projects/ client specific/ data input)
  • Accept and apply coaching and feedback.

    Qualifications
  • All School of Business Undergraduate Majors – Junior and Senior; Minimum GPA 3.2
  • Significant interest in the workings of the financial markets, fund operations, and investment management profession
  • Strong critical thinker who is a strong self-starter
  • High-level Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask with a proven ability to plan and achieve results
  • Demonstrate the highest personal ethics and integrity

  • Hours
  • Paid; 32-40 hours per week at CIM’s office in Phoenix, AZ
