SkyPower Limited

CIM Enables Solar Energy Provider to Reach Around the Globe

SkyPower Limited | Canada

CIM purchased the solar assets of SkyPower Corp. in November 2009 through a distressed situation, and created a new entity called SkyPower Limited.

The assets included a 50 percent stake in the 9.1-megawatt First Light energy parkthe first operational utility-scale solar energy project in Canadaas well as a pipeline of 50 additional projects representing the potential for more than 500 megawatts of solar power generation nameplate capacity.

This project has increased the amount of clean energy available to meet the growing needs of urban communities across distribution grids of customers throughout Canada.

Today, SkyPower is one of the largest and most successful developers and owners of utility-scale solar energy projects in the world, bringing solar power to emerging markets in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

There can be no assurance that CIM will replicate past results or meet its objectives in the future.
