Los Angeles City Council Approves New Entitlements for Sunset Gordon Hollywood Apartment Building

12/12/2018

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--CIM Group announced today that its 22-story, 299-unit Sunset Gordon apartment building has received approval from the Los Angeles City Council for the revised entitlement package. This approval is a major milestone on the path to reopening the property, which includes ground and upper floor commercial space.

“This approval was the result of our on-going collaboration with the city planning department, the tremendous support of Hollywood community members, and the leadership of Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell, whose proven dedication to bringing housing to Los Angeles is evident here in Hollywood,” said Shaul Kuba, Co-Founder and Principal of CIM Group. “We look forward to reopening the building and public park, making new below market-rate as well as market-rate housing units available to the community, and reactivating this prominent section of Sunset Boulevard.”

Sunset Gordon brings much-needed housing to the Hollywood Sunset Corridor, an area that has experienced an on-going transformation as a major employment center and served by the area’s most robust public transportation networks.
