Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine
Jack London Square | Oakland, CA
In 2018, the owners of Farmhouse Kitchen were searching for a space from which to serve the Oakland community. The family-owned Thai eatery, which uses fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create authentic dishes, operated two successful locations but was new to the Oakland market. CIM’s Leasing team partnered with Farmhouse Kitchen’s owners to identify their ideal location in a sprawling space at Jack London Square.
The Jack London Square restaurant was an immediate success, enticing Oakland residents and visitors with its friendly, upbeat atmosphere and distinctive Northern Thai dishes. A year later, Farmhouse Kitchen’s owners realized they needed more space to accommodate customers and limit wait times. CIM’s team worked with them to negotiate an additional 2,700 square feet and expand the restaurant’s footprint.
Since Farmhouse Kitchen opened at Jack London Square, CIM’s team has worked closely with the restaurant, partnering with them for a variety of events and digital marketing efforts. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Farmhouse Kitchen responded with quick creativity, offering curated family meals, DIY kits and cocktail flights for takeout and delivery.
CIM promoted their efforts with features on the Jack London Square website, across its social media platforms and with Bay Area publications. With CIM’s support, success has continued to blossom for Farmhouse Kitchen despite the pandemic. The restaurant’s owners recently announced a new location at a CIM property in Los Angeles.
