Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council
Comprised of employees representing various departments, seniorities, backgrounds and experiences, our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Council focuses on employee education, engagement and reporting. The DE&I Council plays a crucial role in CIM’s effort to create and maintain an inclusive culture and encourages employees to honor and celebrate diversity in relationships with each other and all those we serve.

Increasing Workplace Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness
We strive to eliminate any unfair bias in hiring, compensation and performance evaluation practices. For example, hiring managers are trained to acknowledge and reduce pre-existing biases from hiring processes. Additionally, we routinely review and update our policies and guidance for fair pay and performance review methodologies.
We support employees with tools and education to maintain a working environment of positivity, awareness and inclusiveness. Using an online learning platform and on-demand resources, CIM provides focused training on topics such as unconscious bias awareness, counteracting racism and supporting gender equality in the workplace. To create a safe and comfortable work environment, free from harassment and discrimination, mandatory courses are assigned to employees on a reoccurring basis. To foster continuous education, CIM’s DE&I Council distribute a monthly newsletter that highlights various cultures, global holidays, and important dates in history.
