Lead loan asset management for CIM’s commercial real estate lending platform. The Head of Loan Asset Management is responsible for establishing and overseeing a team that is responsible for proactively managing over $5bln of assets in CIM’s various credit vehicles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Establish processes and procedures, develop models and reporting for proactive risk mitigationMonitor asset-level compliance with loan conventsCoordinate among various CIM departments, including Investments, Legal, Development, Leasing, Property Management and Portfolio Oversight to leverage in-house expertise when conducting analysisProvide research-driven recommendations and analysis with respect to lease approvals, construction draws, rebalancing requirements, asset dispositions, special servicing and REOOversee CIM’s internal and external loan servicers to efficiently receive high-quality data and ensure borrower requests are processed timely with a focus on creating positive client experiencesThree direct reports, which is expected to expand over time Five loan servicing staff, which is expected to expand over time
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field10+ years relevant experience in CRE Loan Asset/Credit Risk Management. Bridge and Construction loan experience preferred.Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents including legal contracts, term sheets and leasesAbility to respond effectively to the sensitive inquiries in written and verbal format to a wide range of audiencesAbility to effectively interact with both internal and external parties on complicated topics and sensitive mattersFluent in real estate and real estate financeAbility to comprehend and analyze general economic data and statisticsAbility to model various outcomes as it pertains to real asset financial performanceAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
