Lead loan asset management for CIM’s commercial real estate lending platform.  The Head of Loan Asset Management is responsible for establishing and overseeing a team that is responsible for proactively managing over $5bln of assets in CIM’s various credit vehicles. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Establish processes and procedures, develop models and reporting for proactive risk mitigation
  • Monitor asset-level compliance with loan convents
  • Coordinate among various CIM departments, including Investments, Legal, Development, Leasing, Property Management and Portfolio Oversight to leverage in-house expertise when conducting analysis
  • Provide research-driven recommendations and analysis with respect to lease approvals, construction draws, rebalancing requirements, asset dispositions, special servicing and REO
  • Oversee CIM’s internal and external loan servicers to efficiently receive high-quality data and ensure borrower requests are processed timely with a focus on creating positive client experiences
  • Three direct reports, which is expected to expand over time
  • Five loan servicing staff, which is expected to expand over time
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 10+ years relevant experience in CRE Loan Asset/Credit Risk Management.  Bridge and Construction loan experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents including legal contracts, term sheets and leases
  • Ability to respond effectively to the sensitive inquiries in written and verbal format to a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to effectively interact with both internal and external parties on complicated topics and sensitive matters
  • Fluent in real estate and real estate finance
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze general economic data and statistics
  • Ability to model various outcomes as it pertains to real asset financial performance
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
